Journalism and Public Relations

Journalism and Public Relations faculty has been established in the year 2012 and the faculty consists of two departments:       

 1- Department of Journalism Department 2- Department of Public Relations

Journalism and Public Relations faculty is having dean officer, vice of dean officer, three heads of departments, teaching administrative executive. Journalism and Public Relations faculty has enrolled 360 students in its two departments and from its establishment, 390 students have been graduated. This faculty has (11) lecturers and their academic grades are Teaching Assistant. For the assignment to be done on time Journalism and Public Relations faculty contains the following committees:Academic Senate, departments, quality assurance, environment, discipline, publication, research, curriculum, sport, E-Learning and committee of evaluation. Although this faculty has Media Center for practical works of students, which is consists of Radio and Printing house.

Mission: The Faculty of Journalism and Public Relations contributes to the society through facilitating professional journalists trained with professional skills, various research methodologies, and modern technology.

Biography, Teaching Assistant Sabghatullah Ghorzang Dean of Journalism and Public Relations

Teaching Assistant Sabghatullah Ghorzang, son of Abdul Hameed, was born in 1990, in the beautiful valley of Tangi in the Sayedabad district of Wardak province in the village of Doab. He completed her primary education at Imam Mohammad Elementary School and Syedabad High School. He graduated from Sheikh Zayed University's Faculty of Journalism. Mr. Ghorzang started his career as a lecturer in the Faculty of Journalism of Kandahar University in the year 2012 after passing the cadre examination. In 2015 he wrote a scholarly work under the title of Edit and Editor in the Media. He successfully completed his master in Journalism and Communication at the Hebei University of China. He also became a two-year member of the Research Center of Hebei University. Mr. Ghorzang was appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Public Relations at Kandahar University in 2021. He has published eight academic articles six of them in international journals and two in national journals.

Asst. Prof. Jamil Ahmad Nasiri

Nominated T. Asst. Prof. Jamil Ahmad Nasiri, son of Shir Mohammad Nasiri, grandson of the late Dr. Shah Mohammad Nasiri, was born in September, 1993 in the 6th District of Kandahar City in an elite family. He completed his primary education at Sufi Sahib Zakoor High School in Kandahar City and graduated from the same high school in 2011 with honors. He passed the Kankor exam with 281 marks to enroll in the Faculty of Journalism and Public Relations of Kandahar University and got his Bachelor's degree in Public Relations in 2016. After graduation, he worked as a volunteer lecturer in the Faculty of Journalism and Public Relations for two years and in July 2018, he joined the academic staff of the Faculty at the department of Public Relations. So far, he has been the director of the journalism department for six months and has been the acting dean of the faculty for two and a half years.Prior to joining the academic staff, Nominated T. Asst. Prof. Jamil Ahmad Nasiri worked as a producer and news presenter for Hewad Radio and Television from September 2014 to June 2016. In addition, he worked as the content manager in Kandahar Killid Radio from June 2016 to February 2018.  Moreover, for one year, he was the Communications and Reporting Officer with UN Habitat's OC (Over Side Consultant).  Jamil Nasiri's mother tongue is Pashto and he is also fluent in Dari, English and Urdu. He has been awarded three times for his best performance in the field.  For example, He was once awarded as the best teacher in September 2017 by the Kandahar Governor's Office. As well as, in February 2018, at the 11th anniversary of Hewad international radio and television, he was honored by the leadership of this media group for his continued cooperation with the same media group. And in May 2019, KJC or the Kandahar Journalists' Center awarded him “Teacher of the Year” award in the field of Journalism.

Nominated Teaching Assistant Sayed Taj Mohammad SAYEDI

Sayed Taj Mohammad SAYEDI, son of Sayed Mohammad Esa and grandson of Sayed Mohammad Osman, was born in the 5th District of Kandahar City in 1990. He completed his primary and secondary education at Haji Mirwais Khan Nika High School in Kandahar in 2009. He graduated from Kandahar University with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Public Relations in 2009. Afterwards, he was appointed as a lecturer in the mentioned faculty in March 2019 till now.

 

Assistant Professor Suyed Gullab Amini

Assistant Professor Suyed Gullab Amini, son of Gull Amin, who was born in the 1988, in a religious family Jamadkhile  in Salar village of Sayed Abad district  of Wardak Province in Afghanistan.He was graduated from Khalid Bin Waleed High School in 2007, And he participated in the national entrance examination of Kankoor and succeeded in the faculty of journalism at Shaikh zayad University of Khost province and in (2011) year he was graduated successfully from journalism faculty. He worked from (2012) since (2014) as a General Manager of the Bakhter News Agency in Paktika province. So, He became lecturer at the Department of Public Relation of Kandahar University, After that, at the late of 2019 he has been got a scholarship from Iran country, which is currently engaged in a Master's programs  at the Allameh Tabatabai University. 

Assistant Professor Mujeeb Rahman Ziarmal

Assistant Professor Mujeeb Rahman Ziarmal, son of Fazal Rahman, who was born in the 27 December of the year 1984, in a known and religious family Halim Babo khel  in Mahmud Qala village, Naik Paiqul  Area of  Chak  district  of Wardak Province. The person has been completed his primary education at Nooral Madaris Secondary School and has completed the rest of the course at Ghazi Gul Ahmad khan Baba High School. Due to his interest in higher education in the year 1384, he participated in the national entrance examination of the country and succeeded in the field of journalism of Shaikh zayad University of Khost province from (2013/ May 20) participated the competitive examination and succeed in the general manager of the secondary school, Hazrat Omar Farooq (رض), And for one year he devoted himself wholeheartedly to the service of the children of the society. And from (2014/May/6) he participated an academic examination in the post of academic in the Department of public Relation of the University of Kandahar, and he succeeded as a lecturer, and for three years he was the head of this department. After that he acting as the Director of the Faculty of journalism and public Relation, at the late of 2019 he has been got a scholarship from Iran country, which is currently engaged in a Master's programs learning at the International University of Tehran. 

Biography of Abdul Latif Ahmadi

Assistant Professor Abdul Latif Ahmadi, was born in a noble and religious family in 1990 in Tangi valley, Sayed Abad district, Wardak province. He has completed his primary and secondary education in Imam Abu Hanifa High School in 2007. After passing Kankor examination in the same year, he could successfully enrolled in Journalism Faculty of Sheikh Zayed University, and in 1390, he successfully graduated from this faculty and received a bachelor's degree. After graduating from the university, he worked for some time to educate the student of the homeland and served as a part-time assistant professor at the Faculty of Education of Paktia University. In 1391, after successfully passing a competitive exam through the Independent Administrative Reform Commission, he was officially appointed as the head of the Bakhtar News Agency in the Department of Information and Culture of Paktia Province. Has participated in various seminars in the country. In 2015, after passing the competitive exam and successfully presenting the conference, he included the scientific staff of the Faculty of Journalism of Kandahar University, who was appointed as a professor by the order of a respected official of the Ministry of Higher Education. In 1397, using an online scholarship, he went to Turkey to study for a master's degree in journalism. He is currently studying journalism at Seljuk University. Ahmadi has published two articles in his respective field, including (Studying the Relationships between Addiction and Loneliness on Social Media, and the Role of the Media in Reconciliation). A scientific article entitled (Feature on the Radio and the Ways of Imaging It) will be published shortly and a volume of the book entitled Introduction to the Basic Responsibilities and Duties of Public Relations will be published soon. we ask the court of God Almighty to grant him a long life and more success.

Assistant Professor, Abdullah Ehsas :

Assistant Professor, Abdullah Ehsas, Son of Khwajak Hossein, who was born in 1990, in a known and Intellectual Family at Chamcani district of Paktia Province. The person has been completed his primary and Secondary education at Chamkani high School. In the year of (1999), after, he participated in the national entrance examination of the country, and succeeded in the field of journalism of Shaikh zayad University of Khost province in (2008), and  he was received  his graduation certificate from this university in (2011), After that, in the year of (2013) Due to his interest, he participated an academic examination in the post of academic in the Department of public Relation of the University of Kandahar, After five years of teaching, he entered India though a government scholarship, and he has been completed a master's program in the field of Journalism at Bangalore University in (2020), he is currently engaged in scientific activities for the community through his sacred duty.

 

Teaching Assistant Sher Khan Afghan :

Teaching Assistant Sher Khan Afghan, son of Qamar Khan, Grandson of Lahore Khan, is the resident of Paktia province, Zurmat District, from Minzai tribe.  He was born on the date: 11/5/1991 in Haji Qamar Khan’s respected family. At the beginning of his early childhood, he was eager to education and learning. He was helping with his father at their home from the year 1991-2002 and started his preliminary Education in Masjid or Madrasa. There were lack of facilities for him in the field of education as it would be. Within that, at the end of the Taliban regime, he was affected from the environment of School in the year 2002 in the spring and started school at Batoor Middle School from the second class.He was in the top of his class from class second till tenth. He was eager to pursue the higher education and wanted to start university as soon as possible. The remaining high school education was then completed by him in Habibullah Zurmati High School, and in the year 2008, graduated from the high school in higher position and give Kankur Exam in the same year in the capital city, Gardiz of Paktia province. In this exam, succeeded to the Shekh Zayed University of Khost province in the year 2009. He was an active and successful undergraduate in all the semesters of the higher education, and graduated from the mentioned university journalism faculty in the year 2012. He expressed his feelings of happiness to all his teachers, parents, and friends in the graduation ceremony and thanked the Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan that created an opportunity for the youths of Afghanistan for getting education. Within studying at university, was teaching school subjects at private schools to serve the people of Afghanistan and to share his experiences with others. He moved from Khost to his birth place Paktia, in the year 2013, and started working with the Election Commission in Gardiz and appointed as the manager of Election in Zurmat District. According to the security threats, he decided to leave the job and was unable to work with them.Afghan was focusing on his studies during bachelor studies and counted from the top of the undergraduates and he wished to serve as a lecturer at university and finally he reached to his goal and appointed as a lecturer in the Faculty of Journalism, Kandahar University. He started working with his 4 colleagues and started academic and teaching activities. After that, he was selected as the head of the Department of Public Relations and tried a lot for his administration. After that appointed as vice-dean of the faculty of Journalism in the year 2015. He was busy in his academic and teaching activities from the year 2017 and was working as vice-dean as well. In the year 2017 appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism. In 2018, Turkey received a scholarship from Ankara University through online registration. He is currently pursuing a master's degree. worked on his academic articles that will be published soon. Afghan continues to work in the scientific and academic departments and so far has 6 volumes of books ready for publication. According to him, after completing the master's course, he will arrange and publish these works.Current Status: Academic rank, Teaching Assistant, Educational Degree: Bachelor, Job Title: Lecturer Faculty of Journalism, Kandahar University. Private life: his mother is alive and his father has joined eternity. Married, He also has four children. He has three brothers, two of whom are medical students and one of whom is a high school student. Afghans have a special interest in sports and their favorite game is football.

 : Nominated T. Asst. Prof. Rishad Ahmad Ahmadi

Nominated T. Asst. Prof. Rishad Ahmad Ahmadi, son of Haji Noor Ahmad Ahmadi, grandson of Haji Nasruldin Ahmadi, was born in October, 1992 in the 2th District of Kandahar City in an elite family. He completed his primary education at  from the same high school in 2012 with first position. He passed the Kankor exam with 245 marks to enroll in the Faculty of Journalism and Public Relations of Kandahar University and got his Bachelor's degree in Public Relations in 2017 with first position. After graduation, he worked as a volunteer lecturer in the Faculty of Journalism and Public Relations for two years and in May 2019, he joined the academic staff of the Faculty at the department of Publi Relations. So far, he has been working as director of  Ahmad Shah baba High School in Kandahar City and graduated Public Relations department of Journalism and Public Relations faculty since 2018.Prior to joining the academic staff, Nominated T. Asst. Prof. Rishad Ahmad Ahmadi worked as an English teacher in Sherzai Institute from 2012 to 2015. Rishad Ahmad Ahmadi's mother tongue is Pashto and he is also fluent in Dari and English. He has been awarded three times for his best performance in the field.  For example, He was once awarded as the best teacher in 2016 by Kandahar Education Department. He was also honored by the Dean of Kandahar University in the year 2017 for graduation of BA degree with first position.And in 2018, Journalism and Public Relations faculty awarded him as best and volunteer lecturer of the Year.

 

Biography of Sayed Anwershah Abed

 

 Sayed Anwershah Abed is the son of Alhaj Dr. Mohammad Asif he was born in 1985 in Kunduz province, Imam district, in the Qatarbalaq area of ​​Chaghar Naqalin village, in a religious family.He completed his primary education in Wardak province of Sayed Abad district in Ankhi high school and continued his life with family until the end of his education in Wardak province of Sayed Abad District, Dara Ankhi of Yawiz village. After elementary school, he completed his education up to the twelfth grade in Seyed Abad High School and graduated from the mentioned high school in 2003.Abed entered the Faculty of Journalism of Sheikh Zayed University after passing the entrance exam, but due to economic problems, his education was delayed for a year and he started his university in 2005. Abed begins his first media career at Sheikh Zayed University Radio (Young Voice) in a program (Khost last week) and served until the end of his bachelor's degree.In 2009, he was appointed General Manager of Technical Affairs at Paktika National Radio and Television, where he was later appointed head of Paktika National Radio and Television. In addition to government responsibility, he has worked with the private radio voice of Maidan, in Maidan Shahar in the capital of Wardak province as the technical and broadcasting advisor.In 2012, he was appointed as the director of Paktika National Radio and Television through free competition under the Administrative Reform and Civil Service Law. During his tenure, he had many achievements, and the most important achievement was building repairs with standard TV studios and activating local TV broadcasts, which were appreciated by the government and foreign institutions with certificates of appreciation.After four years of service in Paktika province in 2015, he passed the free competition exam and was appointed as a lecturer in the Department of Journalism, Faculty of Journalism, and Public Relations at Kandahar University. In the same year, besides teaching, he was given the responsibility of the Media Operations Center of Kandahar University.In 2017, Mr. Abed was introduced by the University leadership as the deputy of the Faculty of Journalism and Public Relations, who also led the faculty's quality assurance and electronic committees. Professor Abed was introduced to a Chinese scholarship by the Ministry of Higher Education in 2018 and left for that country to continue his master's studies. In 2020, based on the amendment of some articles in the law of higher education of the country and completing the conditions of the associate degree rank, after the scientific conference, he succeeded in obtaining the rank of associate professor. In 2021, Abed completed his three-year master's degree at the International University of Southwest, Chongqing city of China with honors and returned to his homeland to continue his sacred teaching career.
