Introduction: The Education Faculty, established in 2002, currently offers professional education in three (free-service, in-service and nightshift) aspects for the degree of Bachelors’ in twelve subject areas. From the total 75 official lecturers, 69 hold master’s degrees, while the remaining six lecturers are currently pursuing their masters’ degree studies. Seven lecturers are also currently engaged in their Ph.D studies.

Dean’s Profile:
Ahmad Zahir Wali was born on 27/Sep/1988 in third district of Kandahar province. He has completed his baccalaureate studies in Zahir Shahi High School, and achieved his bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Nangarhar University in 2012. After getting B.A degree, He was appointed as lecturer at English Language& Literature Department of Education Faculty, Kandahar University. Mr. Wali has achieved his Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from University Teknologi Mara of Malaysia in 2019. He was appointed as the dean of Education Faculty on March/04//2021.
Mathematics Department:
Introduction: Mathematics Department was established in 1382 year in the Faculty of Education. Mathematics Department has enrolled students in three programs (Autonomous, working staff and night shift) and offered professional teachers as graduates to the community. Mathematics Department has nine lecturers.

Chemistry Department:
Introduction: Chemistry Department was established in 1383 year in the Education Faculty. Its main goal is to train and offer professional and specialized teachers to community. The chemistry department has graduated 385 professional teachers in 10 batches. Currently the department has five masters and one PhD lecturer.
Vision:
Chemistry Department trains academic individuals to community, to enhance the level of education in the country and region.

In 12 batches, the Biology department has graduated hundreds of professional teachers. The biology department has eight lecturers. Seven of them are masters and two of them are busy with PhDs.

Pashto Language and Literature Department:
Introduction: The Pashto Language and Literature Department was established in 1386 in the Education Faculty. In 10 batches, the department has graduated 465 professional students in day shift and 220 students in night shift. Among graduated students, 22 are female. The Pashto Language and Literature Department has five lecturers. Four lecturers have master’s degrees and one is PhD.

The Pashto Language and Literature Department aspires to be a renowned department on national level for teaching Pashto language, literature and conducting researches.

Introduction: The History department was established in 1391 year under the faculty of Education to train professional historians. The department has graduated five batches of professional teachers of history since its establishment.
The history department is trying to study and conduct research on the historical documents, evidences, works, personal lives of academic and historical personalities and all aspects of the culture and traditions of the society in order to revive the national feelings of patriotism and to convey the real picture of community’s social life to the new generation.

Introduction : Department of Computer studies was established in 1393 with the aim of educating the young generation of the country, especially in the field of computer and information technology. The teachers of this department are trying their best to make the most of the available resources and to fulfill their religious obligation of doing their job rightly. The department also offers practical lessons in addition to the theoretical lessons using a computer lab. Sports Department:
Introduction: Sports Department was established in 1390 in the Education Faculty with the aim of training the country's young generation, in particular, the training of professional teachers in the field of Sports. Fortunately, 60-70 percent of staff members of the department have master's degrees in important and necessary professional fields (sports management, sports physiology and athletics). The lecturers of the department strive to teach practical and theoretical subjects effectively according to the possibilities and conditions in accordance with the curriculum approved by the Ministry of Higher Education.
Vision:
The Sports Department intends to provide teaching, research and cultural services in the field of sports to educational instructors, researchers and professional teachers, who respond to the needs of the education system, sports and regional sports and to create healthy and useful programs in the relevant field at the national and regional levels.
Mission:
The Sports Department aims to increase the level of training and awareness of managers and instructors of physical education and sports disciplines, and strives to meet the needs of educational institutions and improve the capacity of academic, professional, specialized individuals and researchers in the field of education.
