A one-day seminar on the development and implementation of strategic planning was conducted.

In the conference hall of the Professional Development Center at Kandahar University, employees from the Ministry of Higher Education's Planning, Policy, and Legislation Directorate, along with officials from Kandahar University and private higher education institutions, participated in the seminar.

The seminar began with the recitation of a few blessed verses from the Holy Quran. Dr. Zia-ul-Rahman Mashk Alamzai, the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Kandahar University, welcomed all participants. He highlighted the importance of strategic planning in universities and higher education institutions, emphasizing that the implementation of a well-organized strategic plan is crucial for achieving goals and advancing the development of universities.

Following this, Mufti Rizwanullah Muneeb, the Head of the Planning and Policy Directorate at the Ministry of Higher Education, delivered a brief speech on the objectives, impacts, value, and finalization of strategic plans. He stressed that developing strategic plans is an essential component for the progress of every university and encouraged those responsible for this area to dedicate significant efforts.

Subsequently, employees of the Planning and Policy Directorate presented a detailed presentation on the proper structuring of strategic plans. The presentation covered the drafting process, phases, characteristics of vision and mission, statistical formats for drafting, and methods of consolidating reports. Participants' views and suggestions were also heard, and their questions were addressed.

The seminar concluded with a prayer.
